My Retatrutide Journal: Week Three

REMINDER: Retatrutide is investigational and not FDA-approved. This is a medically supervised personal journey. My wife is a doctor. Do not attempt this without proper medical supervision.

Week Three: Settling In

Third injection, 2mg, 3 o’clock position on the navel. We rotate the site each week — 1 o’clock, then 2, now 3 — to prevent tissue buildup at any single spot. Routine now. Almost unremarkable. Almost.

The nausea has backed off significantly.

Still there after eating, but no longer the constant undertone it was in weeks one and two.

More importantly, the hunger suppression is holding.

I am eating less — not by force, but because the signal to eat has genuinely quieted down. For someone who has spent years ignoring that signal in the wrong direction, running it in reverse is a strange and welcome experiance.

The physical weakness is still present. My answer to it has been to add more movement, not less. If the body is running on less fuel, it had better become more efficient.

So the workout got bigger.

Week Three Workout

ExerciseReps
Seated butterfly leg flaps (pelvic floor)100
Glute bridges100
Diamond leg lifts100
Frog glute pumps100
Child’s pose (stretch and recovery)Hold
Jumping jacks100
Squats100
App-guided supplementary exercisesVariable

The pelvic floor work is intentional. Kegel-adjacent exercises for men at 47 — butterfly flaps, bridges, diamond lifts, frog pumps — build the foundational core that supports everything else. A slowing metabolism needs a stronger frame, not a smaller one. The child’s pose at the end decompresses the lower back after the floor work.

That part I actually look forward to.

Where Things Stand

No weight loss to report yet.

The appetite is suppressed, the nausea is fading, and I am moving more than I was in week one.

The plan is to reduce food intake and compensate with more movement — the two levers a slowing metabolism actually responds to.

Week for coming.

Here we go.
